Clerihews have long dominated the field of potted biography but it is surely time the limerick had a chance to join them. You are invited to supply limericks encapsulating the life, or some aspect of the life, of famous figures without the constraint of necessarily having to rhyme on the name. Up to three entries of single self-standing limericks, or up to three on the same person to form a mini-narrative, by February 19th 2024 please.

At least I’m not a soppy gnome
Outside a certain Yorkshire home.
My role’s to growl goodbye, then roar,
See you again March ’24!
