Ringtones, I’ve noticed, rarely ring,
Which seems a slightly phony thing.
The phone I plan to buy someday
Won’t be the kind designed to play
Or sing a song to let me know
A call is coming in – oh, no!
Nor will it be so retro as
To ring like old phones no one has.
A quiet voice will do just fine,
Announcing who is on the line.
Unsadly, ringtone, as a word,
Soon could be turned way down, unheard.
