Oh, mother dear she ailed with fear
At having little nippers;
So she took pills for nervous ills,
And I was born with flippers.

Her doc believed the company line
That the stuff was tried and true.
And Big Pharma hopes that I'll incline
Toward its point of view:

"As business advances we sometimes take chances,
Before the last fact comes in;
Competitive risk means we must be brisk,
Or forfeit our right to win.
Market needs inspire such deeds;
Initiative is no sin."

So as I'm wheeled from place to place
And mull my malformed karma,
I marvel at the market's pace
And the blessings of Big Pharma.
