Lois Elaine Heckman received a degree in Italian from UCLA. Her home is now Milan, Italy. Among her credits are Boston Literary Magazine, Shot Glass Journal, Victorian Violet Press, Lucid Rhythms, Tilt-a-Whirl and the Yale Journal for Humanities in Medicine. In 2010, she won the New England Shakespeare Festival's Rubber Ducky Sonnet Contest.
